Domain Names
Your domain name is the URL link that you will share to your customers and clients. When a customer types in your URL into their web browser, a Domain Name System (DNS) looks up your hosting servers IP address and serves up the page files with all of your information. Domain names are regiestered for a set amount of time. You can look up domain names and prices from several sites.
For example, Drumminherbie.com cost 12.95 per year through Nixihost.
Hosting
Websites have files, like text and images, that have to be hosted on a computer that runs 24/7 to keep those files ready for transfer at all times. You can build your own hosting server if you would like, but it is often more efficient to use a website hosting service, such as GoDaddy, BlueHost, Wix, and several other platforms. This site is hosted by GoDaddy. Hosting a website can vary depending on your needs.
As a business, you can expect to pay around $18/month for webhosting from Nixihost.
Design
I am just now breaking into the business of website design, but I have been dabbling in web design and development since I was in high school back in the mid 2000’s. Other companies take care of the domain and the hosting, but the design is where I can help you out the most. This is the content, look, and feel with the website. Rates
$40 per hour
The average hourly rate for a Web Developer in Indianapolis is around $41/hour, but I can work with your budget. An hourly rate would get you all the features listed below. The benefit of being an hourly client would be having as much work and maintenance done as you need. This is a great option if you would like to have a completely hands off approach to your website, and let me take care off all of the new pages, updates, service listings, and any other routine maintenance or revisions you would like assistance with.
